Rent Benefit from the tax authority
Rent benefit (= housing allowance) is possible for all apartments from the age of 18. You can then receive a monthly amount between €295 and €523 from the Dutch tax authoritiy. The amount depends on your age and the amount of the rent. You can specify your preferences, such as the property type with different rental prices, in your profile .

Service costs
The following is included in the advance payment for service costs (€136 per month); internet, furniture and soft furnishing, utility costs (excluding heating for your own apartment), security and cleaning of the common areas (and more).
You pay an advance every month for the service costs. In the spring of each year we list all actual service costs for of previous year. This is called the service costs settlement. Meters keep track of how much electricity, heat and water you have used. Depending on your consumption and the actual costs incurred for the other services, you may receive a refund or have to pay additional amount.
Campus contract
- The minimum tenancy period is 12 months. It is not possible to terminate the contract within that period
- You can remain living in the apartment for as long as you are enrolled at an educactional institution
- You have a minimum notice period of one full calendar month
From the monthly costs you pay to us, you might receive an amount up to €523 back as housing allowance from the Dutch Tax Authority (Belastingdienst), if you are eligible.
